(to start with i'm very computer literate so you dont have to break
everything down...lol) ever since i got sp2 update, and even with the new
"win xp pro with sp2" preloadid on the cd... after everything is setup,
updated and whatnot... like right now i have every update and all my hardware
and software have the very newest drivers and updates... but EVERY time that
my comp is starting... after bootup but before windows loading screen i get a
kinda dos looking loading bar on the bottom and it takes my comp about 5 min
to completely load....

Spec's:
Windows XP PRO, Ver. 2002, SP2
AMD Athlon XP 2200+ 1.83 GHZ
768 MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600
(board) MSI 8-Xtreeme mdl# ms-6712

This was a clean install of Win sp2?
You installed mobo chipset drivers?
So all was fine untill you updated all the latest drivers?

yes is was a clean install, i've even tried upgrading from win 98se, win ME
(even skiped it cuz my belief is it's the worst windows ever...) then to
winxp home (even used my friends media edition) then to xp por with sp2.

dont recall installing mobo drivers, i installed all the drivers from the
cd's then updated.

and no it was doing it through the whole install everytime that i had to
restart weathe from windows install/update, drivers/program updates, and even
when i just restart or turn on in the morning...(so... all the time...lol)

There is an option, within Safe Mode options to enable boot logging.
Try that, then examine boot log to identify sloow start items

Or a simple test, Msconfig, disable all non MS startups and test

tried the diagnostic loading... a while ago it never helps... but i just
tried the system logging... but i have no clue if it describes my problem or
not... seams like all of it is about my nic card and network settings, heres
what is logged...
