Problems with SP2 download

Help please!
Recently needed to get larger hard disk and had to reload XP Home version.
Running Windows update tells me I need to download SP2 (critical) - d/load
size is 85MB - after the d/load installs and I restart computer hangs up -
restart under Safe MOde shows me that the SP2 ha only downloaded 0.13 MB - it
seems the only way I can get my computer up and running is to delete the SP2
stuff.
Can anyone out there suggest a way I can d/load the SP2 - does anyone know
what is going wrong?
Any ideas would be MOST GRATEFULLY recieived

How did you get to an 85mb download of sp2? I can't even get that close. I
found a link in an article on another forum to a 266 mb version, and am very
slowly downloading it now. Please tell me how you got offered your version!

After running Windows Update the 'Express reslts - review and install
updates' screen tells me that I need to download ONE item - the Download size
is 75MB with 43 minutes estimated d/load time' sorry misread the 75MB -
thought it was 85MB.
