Hey there everyone...

I'm having major problems with IE, when I access certain
sites... or even sites I have visited before without
problems, I am recieving the following message:

---------------------------------------------

Internet Explorer cannot access the following site:
http://www.whateversiteIamvisiting.com

Operation Cancelled

----------------------------------------------

then it just defaults to a '404' error screen.

also occasionally when I access a site I am experiencing
a *jumping* of my browser window, this does not relate to
my monitor screen in any way, just my browser.

please help, this is totally messing up my internet
experience.

many thanks, Kris

Sounds like you have spyware. Try scanning your PC with AdAware and SpyBot
Is this with every site or a random event?

yes it's a random event, only on selected sites... some
of the sites work one time, then if i decide to go back
to it another time... I get that message up on my screen.
So yes it is totally random.

hope you can help!

Kris

It's caused by parasites.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

and:

SpyBot-S&D
http://security.kolla.de/

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
