problems with delayed typing etc.

Okay, never had problems with this before but now I am getting timer popups
while surfing the internet......the timer pops up all the time while using
the scroll or trying to type.....takes forever to get anything done.

I use home xp, dsl, amd 64 processor, 3400+, 2.40 GHz, 1 gb of ram.

Any ideas as to why this is happening. I have done the usual cleanup for
browser, defrag.... Also I use the Maxthon Browser.

Sounds like it is browser software issue.

Are you talking about "hourglass"?
maybe you should perform some preventive maintenance like "chkdsk" or
"defrag" under Accessories then system tools?
