Hi,
I'm hoping someone would be able to help me... I'm at a loss.
I'm running an omnibook xt6200 with Windows XP (all updates installed). In
order for me to get my infrared to work on the laptop, I understand that I
need to create a new connection in my networking "group". So I go start ->
Settings -> Network Connections -> New Connections Wizard -> Advanced ->
Host -> Next and it returns with an error:
- Incoming Connections depend on the Routing and Remote Access service which
was unable to start. For more information, check the system event log. -
Which I do. The system event log returns the following , event ID 7024:
"
The Routing and Remote Access service terminated with service-specific error
340 (0x154).
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
"
The same is true for trying to start the service in administrative tools...
it just keeps throwing back the same error. I can't seem to find anything
for this problem on the web? Alternatively, is there any way to get around
this? i.e. software I could look at to utilise my infrared connection?
Thanks!
