Virus corrupted installation so uninstalled it using Add/Remove Programs
applet, but it didn't completely remove everything.

Despite using Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, can't remove C:\Program
Files\microsoft frontpage folder (says another program is using it). Also,
when trying to re-install MS Office Pro 2003 from master CD, setup starts but
almost immediately halts with error message "The installation source for this
product is not available."

If I run LISTTool.exe get error message "The Local Installation Source Tool
has encountered an error: 0x80070002. Contact Microsoft product support for
further assistance."

Can anyone offer any solutions, please?

The lower case microsoft frontpage folder is not actually the retail or OEM
version of Frontpage, but a subset of web publishing tools and assemblies
used by Windows XP. So, it is in fact being used by another program; you're
operating system.

As for the rest, anytime you have programs that are suddenly crashing at
wierd times, it could be bad memory or a hard drive going bad. Get yourself
an image of Memtest+ and boot to it.

http://www.memtest.org/

Allow it to run for at least one pass. Also, run chkdsk on the drive to
make sure your hard drive is contains no bad sectors. Of course, if you
find you have bad memory, then it's probably unnecessary to run chkdsk on
the hard drive. Otherwise, just start it before going to bed and check the
results when you get up in the morning.

Good Luck,

carl
