Problems reading NG posts in OE6 (on W-XP)

I have a new HP with W-XP and use OE-6 for getting basic Usenet's Newsgroups
(through my ISP). The problem is as we read the messages, especially those
over 4 kb they will not stay in place as we scroll down. They JUMP back to
the top of the message, making us lose our place - which we have to scroll
down to find - just to have the message JUMP back to the top of the post.
It's very irritating and time-wasting to have to keep scrolling down to find
our place again. We've been online now since 1996 and have never had this
happen on our older computers (with W95 and W98SE). Is there any way to
stop this irritating behavior of returning to the top of posts over and over
as we're trying to read them? This sometimes also happens on webpages
(IE6). The screen suddenly is back at the TOP of the webpage making us lose
our place on the page.

Thanks.....

Just to let you know , you are not alone. I heard one opinion that this is a
lousy newsreader. As for myself , I don't have a clue, but it does seem that
we are not the only ones that have noticed that everything is not kosher.
Maybe if we wait until tomorrow everything will be sorted out. You think ?
Gotta go now , the Publishers Clearing House van just drove up and brought
my check.

** I have also heard that. However we've used OE for our newsreader since
1996 without a problem. We used it on W95 and W98SE. We've tried others
out of curiosity but weren't real happy with them.

** I never knew a PC to "cure" itself. :-(

** Wanna share it? :)

Probably got nothing to do with OE. I'd look at keyboard/mouse/video
drivers.

This is a new computer - how do we "look" at these things? What do you
mean? How can we tell if there's a problem with them? Where would we even
start to look? TIA......

I agree, after a few months of using OE for newsgroups, I decided
to switch to Free Agent from http://www.forteinc.com/ which is 10x
better!
