I was ruuning my windows xp on my 8 gig primary drive and using my new 20 gig primary slave drive for large movie files and music and such, but I want to change my running system to my Maxtor 20 giger. So I changed all the jumpers and cables properly and re-installed xp to the Maxtor wich is now the primary drive. Everything whent well, other than a bit of a slow boot up. 30 seconds after Windows finally logs on, all these errors starting popping up, and here's the list; "LSA Shell Export Version Error" C:windows\pchealth\errorreport\userdumps. Then another error comes up and sais "system32\lsass.exe was removed and windows must reboot.. This shut down was initiated by NT Authority\system. Staus code 1013741819"

Nice list eh!! I have tried to access widows update to see if I can correct the problem but my comp. shuts down before I can look at all of the updates. I have ran disk check with no errors found. I have also tried re-installing winXP but still the same problem. I still have the running system on my old 8 gig drive wich is now the slave so I just changed the boot sequence and that is how I am able to acces the internet and stuff, but it would be nice to get the ruuning system going on the Maxtor..

Thanx for any help possible..

This is the sasser virus. Either you installed while connected to the 'net
or you you connected shortly thereafter without the firewall enabled. Please

I fixed the problem the next day, It just took a while and had to be really resourcefull.

Sasser virus does't ring a bell but I know how to help someone if they ever have this shutdown problem..
