problems on boot up

I am having a problem where my computer is freezing on
boot up. It varies where, sometimes it's on the screen
with the win 2000 logo and the moving blue bar at the
bottom, sometimes it's at the blue destop with the gray
boxes saying things like appying security settings and
whatnot. and the other place is a almost fully loaded
desktop. Once it fully loads though I have no problems.
Can someone please help me? thanks.

Bill, you're in the wrong ng, this is not a developer problem.
Try and btw, tell
them about your anti-virus software and what sort of
firewall you're using. If this has just happened (was normal
before) might it be a virus?
