To find your old Outlook express files,... do a search
for *.dbx files. This will give you the location of your
OE message folders on your hard disk.

Next, from Outlook Express, click File, Import then
select Messages, look for Outlook Express 6, ...

then on the next screen, choose the bullet for OE
6 "store directory" and click next.

Then browse to the directory where you found the .dbx
files and click OK. They will be restored.

Dear Greg

Thank you for responding. My searches for .dbx files
haven't produced anything. Does that mean all my old
messages would have been deleted when I reinstalled
windows?

Thanks
