Ok. I have a network of 10 computers. All run XP pro SP1,and have access
rights (or what was set up as access rights, I think)set up correctly.

Alright. Heres how it is setup.

1 computer-server. A program is installed on here that the other computers
must run.

9 computers-workgroup. 6 of the computers work great, but the other 3 are
having a problem. On the server, it is set up as one administrator account on
the server has access, and limited accounts have read access to the program.
I created a dummy admin account that I thought would help, but didnt. Now
here is a different idea, I got on the limited account and tried to access
the program. I put in the login and password, and it gave me access. I ran
the program (which was an installation, I forgot about that fact) and it said
I needed admin rights. I switched to the admin account, and now cant login. I
rebuilt the computer and it still wont let me login. It doesnt even have a
login box now.

Any help?

I may be reaching here but I suspect that you have some printers that are
shared and you are exceeding the 10 shared resources limit(win xp pro).
Bill says that you should pay him for server software.

If I am right, another reason to vote for someone other than Bush,

I have one laser printer on the network, and this worked before.

See, this is a electronics lab network for school. I chose to do this for
Xtra credit, and have reached the point where the only thing that will help
is a sledge 8o/

2 computers arent effected by this, but 1 was rebuilt, and that is the one
where I am stuck.

Atilla,

I'm a little confused. Are you saying that you rebuilt a W2K box and now it
has local user accounts the same as the other boxes and user accounts setup
on the "program host computer". Others work but this one doesn't? When you
say that "It doesnt even have a login box now", makes me believe that you do
not have user login required. I would take another look at the user
accounts on the problem computer.

.

Im sorry if I confuse you, but Here is the basic setup
(ill try to get it in on here, with text.)

Central Server

Workgroup(school)

Instructor(where the program is)
↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑
All of the computers in the lab {Problem
comps}

No login box appears on one of them, and the other 2 dont
appear to need one.
