problems accessing websites from internet explorer

I am having problems accessing websites from internet explorer. i can bring
up my homepage, then i cant do anything else. please help
 
I am having the exact same problem.

I have tried *everything*, but nothing seems to work.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

I fixed it.

I figured that somehow, somewhere, my copy of IE got corrupted.

I uninstalled Windows XP Service Pack 2 by going to the Control Panel,
Add/Remove Programs, then uninstalling it.

After I rebooted my computer, it worked fine.

Then I reinstalled Service Pack 2, and it still worked fine.

You might want to try that.
 
Read some of the other posts regarding this widespread error on Microsoft's
part. Type in http:// before the website address and it shoud work fine. Your
favorites should work fine already. For a technical explanation of what went
