Using WinXp Sp2
Event Viewer/System getting Error
Error reads:
Your computer was not able to renew its address from the network (from the
DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0006253DCD90. The
following error occurred:

The semaphore timeout period has expired. . Your computer will continue to
try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.

Any Ideas???

Update the Network Card driver from the manufacturer's web page.
Check with whomever your DHCP servcer provider is..

I was plagued with that problem for a long time. I believe the cure
was to talk to the router (192.168.1.1 for LinkSys) and check the
"Enable DHCP Server" box. This router is a replacement for one that
suffered a lightning strike last Summer and it must have been shipped
with the box unchecked.

The router that we are using is brand new
LYNKSYS SRX 200 Wireless-G
