Hi All!
I have a serious problem with my Internet connection at home. Help me please!
I have a D-Link ADSL modem and an STLab 4 ports ROUTER and two computers
with INTEL100 and SMC Ethernet cards. I have a wired network with cables.
The problem is that XP recognize the Ethernet card, and makes a local
connection to the router. It's called local connection 1. I'v checked the
properties of connection: it generates automatically the IP address and DNS
service because on the router there is DHCP service. I've checked the traffic
of connection there are incoming and outgoing packets as well. I've tried to
ping the router's IP address: it works there is no loss of packets.
The problem is, that with Internet Explorer I can't reach the router's
hompage on 192.168.1.1 and I can't reach any homepages. Sometimes after I've
restarted the computer or the connection, it works for some minutes but after
4-5 minutes of using the connection becomes unstable then it's broken.
I don't know how to fix this problem. Help me please!
