Windows XP pro ADSL problem

I'm trying to connect my PC to INTERNET via ADSL modem. I have an SMC and a
Realtek Ethernet card. I can make the connection, XP recognizes my network
adapter. I've just established the PPPoE connection with my user account and
password given by my internet provider. Connection goes for 4-5 minutes but
then it becomes unstable and I can't reach any of homepages any of IP
addresses. Funny that in this situation I can PING the IPs by the ping.exe .
What could I do? I've tried both of network adapters (not in the same time)
but the error still exists. Somebody said that It could be a spyware or virus
problem. I've checked the computer with 3 spyware and virus cleaner but they
didn't find any viruses on my PC. Others said that it can be some problems
with PCI clocking or sharing.
I have another PC with Intel 100 PRO ethernet card. It works well with the
modem.

Ideas?
