Problem with Windows Messenger and Exchange 2000

I believe I have set up everything I need on the Exchange
2000 Server and Enable a couple of accounts, but when I
try to log in to Windows Messenger 5.0, I get the
following error message:

Signing in to Microsoft Exchange Instant Messaging failed
because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please
try again later.

I am setting this up for our corporate netowork and we hav
eonly one domain. We are, of course, running Active
Directory.

My workstation is XP, if that helps.
