Problem with remote boot

Hi everybody,

I have already done a remote boot project with a diskless system and I
am (at least a little) familiar with XPE stuff. Now I am trying to do
the same on another platform. My main problem is with the NIC but for
now, may I ask a silly question? Is NIC driver needed for remote boot
or the image is transferref with PXE protocol?

If anybody has an experience with nVidia nForce chipset (especially
NIC), please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Just FYI, I could boot up an image which had no NIC driver from the
network using Remote Boot.

This is logical, as NIC drivers are loaded using Windows Kernel which
has not yet loaded from the network, so you do NOT need NIC drivers to
download RAM Disk image from the server!

Thanks for your replies, anyway!
