Problem with refreshing the floppy

Hello.

I have Windows XP Pro, Celeron 2,1 GHz;

Problem: I read something from floppy, and after that, when I remove disk
from floppy, in my computer I still have the content of disk. Pressing F5
does not work. When I insert second disk and refresh, I still have the
content of the first. What is the solution of this?

Has anybody idea??

if the disk is out of the drive and you hit f5 i would expect windows to ask
you to replace the disk.

when you hit f5 does the disk drive light, light up as if it was reading the
disk?
