Problem with partition size

In the setup of Windows XP Professional, the software set
up a default of 2 GB to be set aside for the operating
(c:) and the remainder (27 GB) as the d:\ drive. How can
I reset the size of the partition so to accomodate the
operating system better, or make it so there is only one
partition? Help!
 
If you do not want to do a reinstallation and recreate the partition,
Partition Magic can resize the current partition to include the entire hard
drive. For the partition to be expanded past the 2 gb mark, it must be a
Fat32 or NTFS formatted partition.
The only way to do it with the Windows XP CD is with a reinstallation.
During the installation process, you delete the current partition.
Then create a partition with the entire size of the hard drive.
Then select the entire unallocated hard drive size to install XP.
You'll be given the option to format with Fat32 or NTFS. I'd use NTFS full
format. Not the 'quick' format.
