Problem with outgoing mail server when setting up Yahoo/Outlook 20

I am trying to set up a pop/smtp email account for Yahoo! webmail. When I
test account settings, it says Outlook could not connect to the outgoing mail
server. I have tried changing the port to 587 on the More Settings Advanced
tab as advised by the Yahoo online help, but I get the same message.

There is no problems finding and logging in the POP3 server.

Grateful for any help.

Since then I have tried downloading messages, which works up to messages
received in June, but then it keeps downloading copies. I have disabled
email scanning and Anti-spam (Norton IS 2005) as per another post I have
read, but it keeps downloading duplicates of the same emails, so I have had
to take it offline.

I have also chosen not to leave messages on the Yahoo server, but it still
gives me duplicates.

It has stopped sending duplicates now.
However, it still can't find the outgoing server. I tried making a log file
of me testing the settings, but there is nothing there.
I have set the outgoing server as smtp.mail.yahoo.net, which I copied and
pasted from the knowledge base file. Please help!

Right, the problems are sorted now. This was due to the Microsft Knowledge
Base page having the wrong smtp server name on it. I have left feedback
about it.
