Problem with new image.

I have an image that I have deployed to a couple of machines using Compact
Flash. I need to deploy the same image to older machines. I had to upgrade
the BIOS so that it could boot from CF. However, it gave me blue screens or
error messages that suggest it couldn't find an operating system. I then went
on to make a bootable knoppix USB disk using the CF to make sure the machine
could boot from a USB/CF. Strangely, it sees it as D: but boots anyway.
However, it doesn't run FBA when the image is copied unto the CF. It shows a
blue error screen instead. I have used bootprep.exe and ufdprep.exe on
separate occasions to prepare a fresh CF but none works. Can someone please
help me ith suggestions on what to do?
Thanks

The problem is one image doesn't fit all machines. Different HALs and
drivers are the difference.

What is the blue screen error number? Is it Stop 7B?

Yes. It's a 0X0000007B (can't remember the full number) error. I had actually
ran TAP on the board to get it's drivers after installing Windows XP
Professional on it though that was before I upgraded the BIOS. A few drivers
were missing (about 4) when I checked the Device Manager within the Control
Panel.

Here is some information on Stop 7B error:

Just for clarification, you have an image that works on a couple of
machines. Now you are trying to get the same image to run on a different
machine? Different chip, processor, etc.? Or are these older machines the
same as the machines that are running the image with the only difference
being the BIOS upgrade requirement?
