Problem with lucallbackproxy.exe

My internet browser has been freezing/running really slow when I try to visit
some sites. When this happenes, I find that in the Windows Task Manager,
there are about 6 or 7 processes called "lucallbackproxy.exe" that are
running. When I finally get the browser to close, they all disappear. I was
told that this program is part of the Norton Live Update.
Any ideas on how can I stop this from happening?
