Problem with internet explorer

Hey can someone help me. i have a problem with internet explorer; do u know
how u can just type like yahoo.com and it would bring u to the yahoo page,
when i do that i get a error and internet explorer closes down, but when i
type in www.yahoo.com it works. what can i do so i can just type yahoo.com

I downloaded and installed GOOGLE TOOLBAR.

This allows one to type as brief an entry as 'YAHOO' then Google will find
http://www.yahoo.com/

Go with the strength and forget about the crappy products.

Arthur,

You can type just yahoo if you use the Ctrl + Enter keys. Type yahoo in the
Address bar, then hold down the Ctrl key and press the Enter key.

CTRL + ENTER will add "www." to the beginning and ".com" to the end of the
text typed in the Address bar. But you have to have some settings set
correctly for this to work.

These two items need to be selected...

IE | Tools | Internet Options | Content tab |
AutoComplete button | Check: Web addresses

and

IE | Tools | Internet Options | Advanced tab |
Check: Use inline AutoComplete
