Problem with "Hide Inactive Icons"

I had install a WinXPSP2 and download all available updates. When I try to
uncheck the "hide inactive icons" option on Task Bar, nothing occour and the
check mark come back when I open the option screen again... in the hide
programs lists, the're no elements, but in my systray have more than 10... I
think this is a registry problem, but I don't know how to resolve then. Any
help?
