Hi:

When I forward an email it puts the ">" sign on all lines in the left hand
margin. What causes this and how can I prevent it from happening? I am using
Outlook Express 6.00.2900.2180.

Thanks,

ColTom2

Best to ask the experts in an OE newsgroup.

Go to Tools->Options->Send Tab, Plain text settings, adjust as desired.

It's called a "Quote prefix", that is a normally enabled feature, but
you can change it in your Outlook Express settings. If you have
difficulty finding it, look it up in OE Help.

Hi:

I found the settings that prevent this from happening. Go to
Tools>Options>Send Tab and under both HTML and Plain Text Settings take the
check out of Indent etc.

Thanks,

Why ask HERE? Do you see OE in this group title anywhere?

Go to TOOLS in the menu bar. Then choose OPTIONS
Then go to the SEND tab. and click on the "Plain Text Settings"
There you find the options for marking forwards.
