A minor problem with Outlook Express 6

PK Hunter

I got a minor problem when using Outlook Express 6 in Windows XP SP2.

When I try to click on the URL link (or shortcut) in any emails received in
Outlook Express, it would not pop-up a window (IE) to show the content, i.e.
just nothing happen.

It was a newly installed windows. The normal behaviour should be popping up
a new IE window to browse the URL if I click on the link.

Strange.

Anyone knows what's wrong?

Thanks in advance.

My Outlook Express 6 version: 6.00.2900.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)
My Windows XP version: SP2

I tried. Outlook problem is solved.
Yet, Outlook Express still cannot pop-up or start the URL in IE.

Thanks

In OE, under Tools.... Options... Read, you may have a checkmark before
"read all messages in plain text". In plain text URL links won't work. If
so, remove that checkmark.

This is a FEATURE. One should aviod clicking on URLs that come by email.

In plain text URL links won't work.

That is an incorrect statement. I send and read all messages in plain text
and have no problem with hyperlinks.

You cannot Insert Hyperlinks using Plain Text, using the Insert menu, but
all you have to do is copy and paste a link. Like this...

(e-mail address removed)

This message is in Plain Text.
