Problem with fonts and formatting in Word 2002 - Office XP

My Word application only shows Device Fonts (in cpi) in the font list.
Whereas I have a lot of other fonts (Arial, Times New Roman) installed on my
Operating System (XP Home). Other Office applications (Powerpoint etc) show
all available fonts in the system. I don't understand the problem. Have tried
trouble shooting a lot and found no solution. Please help. This changes the
appearance of my existing documents.

Hi, Maulik. This problem suggests that the currently selected or default
printer in Windows is "Generic/Text Only" or "None". If you select a default
printer that is capable of printing fonts, you will have more font choices in
Word. To change the default printer, click on Start | Control Panel |
Printers | right-click on a printer name | left-click on "Set as Default".
