Thanks datbaseben
I followed your suggestion of inputting all of the numbers in one string in
the number area without using the dialing rules and that worked fine.
Strange that only my own area code affect this. But hey - at least it works
even if not according to the rules.
Thanks again for all your help and input.

| hmm, if all the numbers run together, without plus's and brackets, the
| number should be diable by the fax. there are 2 things to look into. 1)
be
| sure that the setting to wait for dial tone before dialing is set and the
| other is that you may need a pause inserted before or after the 1. i
don't
| remember the codes but it may be a comma or dash or something. somewhere
on
| the net or inside "help" there is "modem initialization codes" You
should
| be able to find the characters that can be inserted inbetween the numbers
to
| pause and continue dialing. Sometimes the pause is important for dialing
| phone numbers between high speed machines, eg your pc and the telephone
| company. At least the fax is working. So its just the problems with
dialing
| all the numbers.
|
| I also remember that i had the same problem with the "dialing rules" so i
| inputted the whole number including area code into the phone number space.
