Yesterday, I did a Windows update after reading the Service pack 1 for
Office 2007 will be released soon.
I noticed that Microsoft released 2 new "optional" updates. The
updates were KB 929300 and KB 110806.
KB 929300 was released 12/5/07 and was a service pack for .net
Framework 3.0.
KB 110808 was released 12/4/2007 and it was a Service pack for .Net
Framework 2.0.
After the initial reboot, I noticed that the auto protect function in
Symantec Internet Security (NIS) 2008 was not working.
I had to restore an image from last week to feel protected.
I don't what other products may have problems with these 2 patches
from Microsoft. Please be careful.
Microsoft has also released .Net Framework v3.5 which I will now
avoid.
