I'm trying to figure out what version or versions are installed. When I
look at Add/Remove Programs, listed are:

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 (under it is .NET Framework 2)
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 1 (under this are WPF 2, WPF 2
x86, WPF 3, WCF, XPS, WFP 3, x86, WF, WPF 1, WF x86, WCS)

I can't tell what all those "indented" NET Frameworks are (some start with a
period & some don't). I also don't see NET Framework 3 installed, although
3 Service Pack 1 is.

How can I determine what's installed?

Thank you for your quick response. I couldn't connect to the server to download
his new version (only up a few days). I'll try back later & let you know how
things go.

Thanks, Robear. That did it. I discovered it's 1.1 & 2.0 that's installed.
Any reason that I should install 3.0? I have a folder that says
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.0, but the Mscorlib.dll isn't in it.

Why do you ask, Phil? Is .NET Framework 3.0 (SP1) or any other versions or
any .NET Framework-related updates being offered by Windows Update (e.g.,
KB951847)?

WU isn't offering it. I ask because it seems that I have some components as
there's a Service Pack 1 for it & several other components listed under
Add/Remove. I actually don't know what it's used for, but like the service
packs, I didn't know if I should update to the latest version.

You wouldn't have a .NET Framework version installed there wasn't another
application installed that depended on it. Some .NET Framework versions do
not require a previous version to be installed before installing a Service
Pack.

In short, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." <wink>
