Problem with drive image 7.0 (now Norton Ghost 9.0)

While trying to make an image of my system partition I repeatedly get
through about 85% of the backup and receive an error message EA 39070A
meaning that the image is not valid or corrupted.

The Symantec data base shows only one hit of this error and it does not
apply to my problem.

Prior to the installation of SP2 in win XP drive image worked well.
Have tried checkdisk, defragmentation, turning off antivirus software,
stopping internet traffic, all did not help.

Any ideas how to solve the problem?

because it was fine with SP1 but no longer with SP2, then you probably need
to see if there is a patch frm symantec. If not, uninstall your norton and
reinstall. Norton will either work or not.

I don't think its a windows problem, but rather your norton........
