Norton Ghost 9.0

I have recently installed Norton Ghost 9.0. I also have Roxio Easy
Media Creator 7. I can get a good verified backup to my External Hard drive
but I am having trouble backing up to my CD\DVD burner and getting it
verified. The burner is a Sony Dru-710A.
Does Ghost use the burn software from Roxio and will this cause a
problem?
What is the best burner that does CD\DVD and dual layer? Any
recommendations on backup software.

I have exactly the same problem. I can use my 710a to burn cd's and it will
work to back up but not DVD's let alone dual layer. hoping someone has an
answer because I could not find one.
