Problem with CD Drives Reading Disk Type

My CD ROM's have all of a sudden stopped reading the type of disk that I have
put in, therefore no autoplay is working at all. When I put in an audio disk
for instance, it says the file ssytem type is "unknown" and it does not
change the name from the drive to to "audio CD"

Any idea what could be causing this?

Backup your registry as a safety precaution and read the readme file enclosed
in the cdgone.zip archive. This should clear out any CD app entries in the
registry that may be affecting the system. Merge the Reg file and reboot the
computer, any third party software that is needed or required will need to be
reinstalled..

A great read on the subject..

Hope this helps
