Problem with adprep CLI

Hi,

I have a problem where I am trying to add a Windows 2003 server into a
domain running 2000 SBS. I have built and added the new server into the
doman yet when I try to dcpromo the machine I get an error stating I must run
adprep /forestprep and adprep / domainprep.

Ok, so I have done the first one (/forestprep) which went through ok, the
problem comes when I try to run the second (/domainprep) option. All I get
is an error message saying I need to run adprep /forestprep first.

Well I've already done this, I've even tried again to make sure it is ok,
yet I don't seem to be able to run adprep for the domain.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Chris

Chris,

You can only run the 2003 server as a member server not as another domain
controller. If you are planning to migrate to a full 2003 server system,
I'd suggest looking at the ADMT tools. Plan and test it thoroughly before
implementing.
