Problem with Access database conversion

Hello

Can anyone help or suggest what might be wrong with the following:

I have two MS Access 97 .mdb files that make up a relatively simple database
system (one file is the interface, the other holds the data and) that have
linked tables. I am running MS Access XP (2002) on my PC and wish to upgrade
the database, as I now unable to modify the structure, create queries etc.

I have converted both files to Access 2002 version, but when I open the main
form of the database and try to browse the records, I get a 'Microsoft Access
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience' message.

Can anyone tell me whether this is to do with the conversion of the database
or might it be with coding. Could the data have become corrupted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

Did you receive any error messages when you performed the conversion?

Chances are, there is something wrong with the database that has no yet
shown up under A97.

See article:
Converting from Access 97

The section entitled "Conversion Issues" gives 5 steps for sorting it out by
decompiling, and a link to follow if the corruption is not resolved.
