Hello everyone,

I am facing a strange problem while running 2c_PMHibernate and
2c_PMStandby tests in NDIS tests for 2-cards (1machine or 2 machines).

In the log, I get a failure messages saying "Machine does not support
Hibernate" and "Machine does not support Standby".

Does anyone know what these messages mean? I have an Intel P4 system
with USB ports.

Please help in identifying the problem.

Thanks in advance for the great help.

Best Regards,

GNRaj

Did the machine standby and hibernate before your driver and HCT installed ?

I tried reinstalling the OS. There is nothing installed. But still I
don't get the standby or hibernate in the start->shutdown command or in
the Control Panel->Power Options.

The machine is a uniprocessor P4 ACPI machine.

Please help me in identifying the problem.

Thanks in advance

Best Regards,

Ok. so it is not because of your driver.
There are some utilities in the DDK (sleeper ... ) that can help identifying problems with standby & hibernation.
Assuming you have the ACPI BIOS correctly updated...

Anyway a machine not logo'ed for XP (or at least not behaving reasonably) can not
and should not be used as HCT client. Maybe it can be used as ndistest server.

hi,

you have to install the Graphic Driver!!! otherwise your
system can not go into the sleep states
