To test the DSL funstionality of the device you will need to install
the DSL kit. This will all install tests for the USB driver. The
HCT 11.2 DSL kit will test both the NDIS driver as well as the USB
driver. NDIS test will detect what your NDIS driver supports and test
accordingly.
If you have anymore questions about testing your device, please contact
whqlnet @ microsoft.com.

WHQLNET
Hello,
In that page, I don't find any DSL test. All the tests are NDIS test and
other network related tests. I don't know what to do with this.
My device is a USB Network Device. The driver that operates the device
is a pure virtual ethernet driver which sends ethernet packets over USB.
The device takes these ethernet packets and sends them over DSL.
Here is a block diagram of the device connecting to the PC.
|---------------------------|
| |
| PC with |USB Cable |---------------------| DSL
| virtual ethernet |----------------------------| USB Device
|-----------------
| Driver |carrying Ethernet |---------------------|
|---------------------------|packets
With the scenario depicted above, please let me know where do I find the
information for running the WHQL tests regarding which tests are
required to quality the driver for WHQL.
Since it is a pure ethernet driver, I cannot run the DSL, ATM, or USB
tests on the driver. I can only run the NDIS/LAN tests on the driver.
Please suggest.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
GNRaj

Set up the HCT Kit, read the release notes and procedures,
and run the appropriate tests.
6.
If you encounter failures in test logs, check the Errata by
clicking the appropriate link in the Check Errata box.
If the information in the errata does not address your
failures, consult the WHDC Design for more resources, including test
specifications and development guidelines.
If errata or developer information did not resolve the
problem, contact WHQL Support and send a description of the problem,
test logs with the failure, and a description of your system configuration.
7.
After your product has passed the HCT tests, submit your
log file package to the Windows Hardware Online Services.
Thanks,
Robert Harper
