Problem uninstalling

I am trying to uninstall an older version of iTunes and every time I do I get
this error message:

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the
installation
package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below

use source:
C:\DOCUME~1\EVERET~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\IXP073.TMP\

I dont know what this means and the apple support page has been unhelpful.

any suggestions would be great.

thanks in advance
