Repair Windows Journal Viewer

I've run afoul of the damned bug that causes the computer to demand you
navigate to the folder containing the "Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer.msi"
Installation package, and the "C:\DOCUME~1\AMG\LOCALS~1\Temp\IXP000.TMP\"
error.

The problem is no matter how I twist and turn and squirm and shriek to high
heaven, I am absolutely absolutely <font size = 500 octillion infinities
times bigger than the entire Milky Way Galaxy> ***ABSOLUTELY*** </font>
</sic> blocked from proceeding by that exact same error message. It appears
when I try to uninstall the current Windows Journal Viewer, when I try to run
the downloaded setup program for version 1.5 of WJV, absolutely every single
damned possible THING I try brings up that damned
"C:\DOCUME~1\AMG\LOCALS~1\Temp\IXP000.TMP\: Find an alternate folder
containing Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer.msi Installation Package."

I am at the end of my rope and ready to scream so loud the entire building
crumbles to powder from the sonic vibration. Another message forum said it
had to be downloaded and reinstalled as a repair, but when I try to run
setup, there is absolutely absolutely ***ABSOLUTELY*** no OPTION to run it as
ANYTHING other than a full install, which brings up that exact same damn
error message!

What do I do about this??
