problem to make phone call from outlook

Hi:
i'm using xp pro, with "Lucent Technologies Soft Modem AMR"
i plug in the phone line and headset to make phone call from outlook.
everything looks fine untill the phone call connected. the problem is only i
can hear the voice from other line, but he can't hear anything from me.

Please help!!

I experinced the same problem and the only fix was an updated driver....not
the same modem though.
