I am trying to use a headset with my laptop to make phone calls from Outlook.
When party answers I can hear them, but they cannot hear me. Is this possible
to make work?

Your help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

Have you a microphone? Do you have a voicemodem? I think you'll need both.

Joe,

I have a microphone, and I am not sure about the voice modem. I can record
my voice in other programs, but with the autodialer in Outlook, when I hit
the talk button, it hangs the phone up. I can pick up my regular phone and
the connection is made for me, but w/o the regular phone the talk button cuts
the line off. I have tried eveything to get it to work, but I am sure there
is one setting I must be missing.

Yes, without a voicemodem, you need to pick up a phone, then cancel the
modem connection. It's still a convenience over dialing the numbers..

Autodialer seems to not allow voice connections. It seem to also be the case
with Dailpad.
