problem setting up for new ISP will not use new password

when I set up for new ISP and put in all the right
information the system keeps trying to us the password
for my other ISP and I get cut off because of bad
password.
Can some one help me with this issue?
my OS is XP

Did you completely remove your old ISP? Sounds like a
path issue.

Presuming this is a dial-up one:
In Network connections, r-click on the connection and take Properties.
In the Options page check 'Prompt for username and password' and 'prompt
for phone number'

Now try to connect, insert the appropriate values and check the box to
'always use this ' and it should get remembered for the future (and you
can take the Options there and uncheck)
