Problem Saving pics as anything but Bitmaps

Just recently my computer has decided im unable to save
pictures as anything but BITMAP.
Now, if i wanted to save a moving picture i would have to
save it as a GIF. It is only alowing BITMAP...
why is this?
can someone please help me :(

Empty your cache, right-click your browser icon, properties, delete files or with IE,
tools, Internet Options, delete files.
