save as only lets me save .bmp

Mandie

Everytime I want to right click and save an image, it only
allows me to save it as a bitmap (.bmp) even if it was an
animated gif to start out. I know they're not supposed to
be bitmap files when I save them, so why is it making that
the default? I desparately need to figure out how to
change this so it lets me save it as the pictures actual
file format.

Help!
