Saving pics in different format

Hi,

Anyway when I save a picture from the internet, by right clicking then 'save
picture as', it only allows me to save them as .bmp. Obviously these take up
a lot more space on the computer than .jpg and I would much prefer to get
them to save as .jpg. At the moment I have to save as .bmp then find it on my
computer, open it using paint and then change the format, doing this every
time is getting annoying. So how can I change it to allow other file types?

-before anyone asks yes I have tried clicking the 'save type as' drop down
menu but only bitmap appears in the list.

Can anyone help please?!

is this for every images ever on the internet or only the one you want? if
the author has publish the pic as a bmp im afraid you have to do it the old
fashion way.

If the image on the internet is a .jpg then you should be able to save it as
that.

When I look at the properties of the pics it says they are .JPG but still
only allows me to save as bitmap.
