Convert Bitmaps into JPG's

Hi,

M scanner saves all the pictures it scans as Bitmap images. These files are
very large, and hence it is rather impossible to send more than 5 bitmap
images via email.

Is there a power toy, or program, preferably Microsoft but I won't mind any
third parties, that enable me to convert pictures from Bitmap to jpeg? It is
rather tedious having to open the pictures in paint, save them as jpeg, and
then deleting the other picture...

Thank-you.

If you open your image editing software and
scan your images into the software you will
have more save options.

All image editors have options for saving in
several different formats. Maybe one of the
following free programs will be useful to you:

FastStone Image Viewer
http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm

Download IrfanView 3.97
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html
(get the plug-ins too)

Download XnView
http://www.xnview.com/

Also you could try a Google search for:
.bmp converter

My scanner does the same but in looking closer I found that they can be saved
as JPG's. For converting bitmaps to JPG's I have found Mihov Image Resizer to
be very helpful. You can do batch changes. Just do a google search for it.
It's free.
