Problem printing from XP

I have both XP and 2K workstations printing to a Windows 2000 print server.
A print notification appears on the 2K workstation after printing but the XP
workstation doesn't.

On the XP workstation,
1. open Printers and Faxes
2. click File, Server Properties
3. select the Advanced tab
4.if "Show informational notifications for network printers" is not checked,
add a checkmark
5 . click OK
