Problem opening add/remove programs in control panel

I have a dual boot system (Win XP and Win 2000). When I
try to open the add/remove programs in the control panel
while in Win 2K, I get a message saying:
"mshta.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program."

Does anyone know how to fix this without re-installing
both systems?
I appreciate any help.

Can you confirm that the dual boot includes seperate partitions for each
operating system?
you can follow the directions in this KB but perhaps your problem is
elsewhere;
