Problem installing D-link DFE-530TX network card

Hello,
I've an A7V8X Asus motherboard with a NIC integrated on it.
I installed a D-link DFE-530TX network card in a PCI slot, but when I
started WinXP it couln'd be installed correctly. I received an error
like "Incorrect data", and my Ethernet Controller is still useless.

I had a look in the website of the vendor, and it says that the driver
for this card is included in the WinXP standard installation, so I
can't download anything.

What can I do to fix it?

THank you in advance,

To start with the obvious, did you disable the onboard NIC with the
motherboards BIOS setup?

Eheh, maybe that for me it wasn't so obvious... ;-)
In my idea, I wanted to use both NICs, the one onboard and the one on
the D-link...
Isn't it conceptually correct?

Still the same problem...
I see the correct name of the card, but after that I receive the
message "Incorrect data"...

Maybe is it a problem with the PCI drivers?
