Bad Driver

Hye, I bought network adapter by Encore (ENL832=TX+) and got floppy disk for
driver with this too.. (Windows didn't identify the driver needed for this
hardware) My floppy didn't work so I started search on the net for possible
driver and i found, downloaded, installed and when I finished I checked in
the "device manger" for the hardware. I found somthing different like "D-Link
DEF530TX ..................." with a tiny exclamation mark. The device didn't
work properly of course because it's not the right driver (even said in the
site, iknow how to read). Suddenly, my floppy worked!! So I decided to
install it manually --> "Add Hardware" --> "Next" , but then it found the
last driver "D-Link..............." so I can't install my original driver
from the floppy I received. I tried uninstallin the annoying
"D-Link.........." and then to install again from floppy and I look on Encore
officially site, downloaded the driver from there, intalled. SAME ! I go to
Realtek (the company of the network adapter chip) site and downloaded the
driver for all chips ("RTL8139D") in manual installation mode or automatic..
SAME!!!! Always appears this "D-Link DFE-530TX PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter
(rev.C)"..
Tried find for any backup files of drivers of D-Link so I can delete them
but non!
I installed same hardware with same floppy in another PC (that didn't
installed driver from the internet before) and it was easy and successful!

What can I do to install the right driver "Realtek RTL8139D......." ???

Thanks beforehand.

Most cds and/or floppy drivers from the mfg are obsolete by the time the
pc user gets them(most cases). Is this a PCI adapter,if so,R.click on it in
device mgr,select uninstall,dont restart,close out,shut down comp.,power off.
Move the adapter to another PCI slot, start up computer, let xp install auto
(forget
the floppy),once xp installs it,go to windows update for updates and/or the
windows update catalog. As with any PC hardware, the very latest
drivers/software
will be found at the mfg web site.
